On 5 March 2026, the British Embassy in Yerevan hosted “Financing UK-Armenia Trade: UK Export Finance (UKEF) Opportunities”, bringing together UK and Armenian government and business representatives to explore new opportunities for trade and investment.

The event opened with remarks from H.E. Alexandra Cole, His Majesty’s Ambassador to Armenia, and Deputy Minister of Economy Anushik Avetyan, highlighting the importance of strengthening economic ties between the UK and Armenia.

Experts from UK Export Finance (UKEF) and the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) presented the UK’s export finance tools and explained how they can support projects in Armenia by connecting Armenian partners with British expertise, technology and suppliers.

Speakers Sebnem Alp (UKEF) and Emrah Oz (DBT) outlined how UKEF financing can help unlock opportunities in sectors such as infrastructure and urban development and create new partnerships between UK and Armenian companies.

Events like this help turn the UK–Armenia Strategic Partnership into practical cooperation, supporting investment, trade growth and sustainable projects that benefit both countries.
