On 2 September 2025, English Law Day gathered leading UK legal professionals, international experts, and Armenian business leaders at the Armenia Marriott Hotel for a comprehensive discussion on English law, international dispute resolution, and their significance for Armenia’s evolving legal and business environment.
Event Highlights
The conference was organised by the British Embassy Yerevan, the Armenian British Business Chamber, and HAP Law Firm, with the support of the UK Department for Business and Trade. The event served as a platform for exploring how English law continues to influence international commercial relations and how Armenian businesses can benefit from global best practices in arbitration, dispute resolution, and cross-border transactions.
The day opened with remarks from Hayk Hovhannisyan (Managing Partner, HAP Law Firm),
Paul Morris (Chargé d'Affaires (a.i.), British Embassy Yerevan) and Lilit Tadevosyan (President of the Court of Cassation of the Republic of Armenia).Their contributions set the stage for a day of meaningful dialogue focused on strengthening legal cooperation and deepening Armenia’s engagement with international legal frameworks.
