Position Overview

The Marketing & Events Manager is responsible for planning and executing ABBC’s marketing communications, supporting the organisation of events, and ensuring consistent, engaging, and professional promotion of ABBC’s activities across all communication channels.

Key Responsibilities
- Design high-quality marketing materials, including social media graphics, event invitations, presentations, brochures, flyers, and other promotional content using Canva or similar graphic design tools.
- Prepare, edit, and disseminate newsletters, announcements, and other marketing publications to members, partners, and stakeholders.
- Maintain and regularly update ABBC’s website with news, event information, publications, and other relevant content.
- Manage ABBC’s social media platforms by creating engaging content and maintaining a consistent publishing schedule.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of ABBC events, including conferences, networking events, workshops, and webinars.
- Maintain ABBC’s marketing assets, photo library, and branding materials, ensuring consistency with organizational branding guidelines.
- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Perform other marketing, communications, and event-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational background in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Business is preferred (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven experience in marketing, communications, event management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Canva with the ability to create professional marketing materials.
- Experience preparing and distributing newsletters using email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp or similar) is an advantage.
- Experience managing website content using Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English 
- Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Experience organising business events, conferences, or networking activities is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common digital collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Creative mindset with strong visual communication skills and attention to brand consistency.
