From June 23–25, 2026, ABBC Executive Director Lusin Achoyan undertook a business trip to London, representing the Armenian British Business Chamber (ABBC) and Armenia at a series of high-level meetings, international events, and partnership engagements aimed at strengthening UK–Armenia business relations.
The visit began with a meeting at the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) with Anne-Marie Martin, Director of Membership UK & International, and Nina Moubayed, Membership Executive. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation between ABBC and BCC, resulting in an agreement to introduce the BCC AI Academy programme to ABBC members. The initiative will support businesses in developing practical AI knowledge and capabilities and will be promoted in the lead-up to ABBC's AI Conference this September. During the meeting, ABBC also presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the BCC in recognition of its continued support and partnership.
On June 24, Ms Achoyan attended a reception hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom on the occasion of London Climate Week. The event featured remarks by H.E. Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador of Armenia to the UK, and Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of Armenia and President-designate of COP17 to the Convention on Biological Diversity. During the reception, ABBC presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Embassy for its ongoing support in strengthening Armenian-British business cooperation.
On June 25, Ms Achoyan represented Armenia at the British Chambers of Commerce's Global Annual Conference, held under the theme "Delivering Growth." The conference brought together business leaders, chamber representatives, and policymakers to discuss economic growth, trade, investment, and productivity.
During the conference, Ms Achoyan announced that ABBC had been nominated for the British Chambers of Commerce Rising Star Award, recognizing the Chamber's growth and development.
"This nomination is a meaningful milestone for our Chamber and a reflection of the dedication of our team, members, and partners. It is a true privilege to represent ABBC and Armenia on this international platform and continue creating new opportunities for collaboration between Armenia, the United Kingdom, and beyond."
A key milestone of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Armenian British Business Chamber (ABBC) and the British Armenia Chamber of Commerce (BACC). The agreement establishes a framework for closer cooperation, knowledge exchange, and joint initiatives to support trade, investment, and business development between Armenia and the United Kingdom.
The business mission concluded with a meeting between ABBC Executive Director Lusin Achoyan, ABBC UK Representative Haig Armaghanian, and a representative of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), where discussions focused on exploring future collaboration and strengthening international business connections.
The visit marked another important step in expanding ABBC's international partnerships, reinforcing its position within the global chamber network, and creating new opportunities for the ABBC community.
